Insecurities Suck

It sucks that there is a security in the thought of the unknown. In the unknown
you can't predict whether or not you'll fail at something or get rejected by
something/someone. The unknown that I'm talking about in my life is the unknown
of not trying. For instance I am currently not trying out for worship band
vocal auditions at my college. I recently talked myself out of trying because the
unknown terrifies me, The rejection I don't think I can handle it. In the beginning
i had a confidence that couldn't be reckoned with. I was content with whether or
not I made the band or not, I've done good. Now, I'm content with not trying
because I am so insecure in myself, which allows me to be intimidated. I blame
my current hormonal imbalance that comes with this time of the month. I also
blame myself with my standing with God. Whenever I distance myself from God my
insecurities grow. I have a banner on my Facebook page that says "Don't let Satan
put a question mark where God has put a period." ... I should read it more
often huh?
This comfort I receive in the thought of the unknown is so false for me
I don't really know how I gain anything from it. I guess it partners with the
phrase ignorance is bliss? But we all know that, that can be a loaded statement
with many faults inside of it. Me gaining this security in not trying causes
me and you (if you do this) to lose out on MANY opportunities. It causes us to
build a life full of regrets. No one wants that.. Or deserves that. I don't want
that.. I don't deserve that. Why treat ourselves like crap when we are all
unique entities. We deserve greatness, TLC, and to take risks that will boost us.
I challenge you as well as myself to stop selling ourselves short and to
take risks. No risks No rewards : Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 -

"Send your grain across the seas,
and in time, profits will flow back to you.[a]
2 But divide your investments among many places,[b]
for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.
3 When clouds are heavy, the rains come down.
Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls.
4 Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant.
If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
5 Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny
baby growing in its mother’s womb,[c] so you cannot understand the activity of
 God, who does all things.

6 Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t
know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both

Let me know the things that you may be fearful of to take risks and chances with
let's journey together. Be like Jim Carey in the movie Yes Man, okay maybe not
that risky lol. But I do want to know.

Love you guys and thanks for sticking out till the end of this post.
